WEST BAY, Grand Cayman --Jamaica lost 1-2 to Haiti and crashed out of the CONCACAF Under 15 Women's Championship at the quarterfinal stage Wednesday night at the TE McField Sports Complex in the Cayman Islands.
Young Jody Brown had given Jamaica a 28th minute half time lead but Lovelie Pierre pulled Haiti level in the 39th and Nerillia Mondesir clinched victory for Haiti in the 50th minute.
Jamaica's Shanhaine Nelson missed a penalty in the 52nd and substitute La-Tavia Russell fired wide with only goalkeeper Daphney Auguste to beat three minutes from normal time in the 67th minute.
Haiti now advance to the semi finals and will play Honduras who defeated host country Cayman Islands 3-2.
Meanwhile Canada advanced to the semi finals with a 8-1 mauling of a tearful Costa Rican team in the curtain raiser and will play Trinidad and Tobago, who whipped the Bahamas 4-0.
