Kim Kardashian Visits Haiti for Charity Mission

Kim Kardashian Off to Haiti: Reality star Kim Kardashian, who has been under scrutiny lately due to her short-term marriage, departed the United States for a charitable mission in Haiti. The “Kim and Kourtney Take New York” star retreated to the country that is still reeling from a devastating earthquake that rocked the area, along with her mother Kris Jenner and members of the charitable organization, We Advance, a group dedicated to the advancement of women in Haiti. “She connected with Maria Bello [the co-founder of the organization] and is there with Maria’s foundation and also with her mom,” a source told People Magazine. “Her intention was always to take the end of the year to focus on some of the other things that are important to her and this trip was one.” [People]

Ke$ha Covers Bob Dylan: Pop star Ke$ha decided to bare her soul on the Amnesty International four-CD compilation that pays tribute to musician Bob Dylan. The singer, known for tunes like “Tik Tok,” reworked Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright” for the 76-song dedication. ”I didn’t want this to sound like a pop version of a Bob Dylan song,” Ke$ha told Rolling Stone. “That’s the last thing I wanted this to sound like.” The singer told the magazine she recorded the tune alone in her bedroom on a laptop. Ke$ha, who is a fan of Dylan, told RS, ”…there were particular lyrics in the song that you can just tell, once they came out of my mouth – the emotion caught up with me and I just started weeping.” Ke$ha later told RS,”…I’m so lucky and blessed, but there are moments that are just so incredibly lonely that it’s indescribable. And I’ve never written a song that’s admitted that. Singing Bob Dylan’s words and feeling my own emotion through it – it was a very intense moment for me.” What did you think of the singer’s cover?
