The International Christian School in collaboration with Friends of the Orphans, announced a one-of-a-kind photography and art exhibit titled Through the Eyes of a Haitian Child, on display for one weekend only at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in North Miami.
The exhibit opens a window into the life of Haitian children in the aftermath of January's devastating, 7.0- magnitude earthquake. The exhibit will run from Sept. 24 through Sept. 26, and admission is free and open to the public.
In June, a group of dedicated Friends of the Orphans volunteers, led by International Christian School principal and Key Biscayne resident, Ines Lozano, and photographer Boris Vazquez-Cordoves, traveled to Haiti to visit the Friends of the Orphans programs and conduct an art/photography project with children from Port au Prince's tent cities.
The result is Through the Eyes of a Haitian Child, which captures the life and emotion of these children's lives through their art and photographs.
